<Censored_Vagina> I think at that point, biden realized, or at least felt, that the current israeli government is toxic, and moving forward on the US goals of peace is not going to happen soon
<Censored_Vagina> so
<Censored_Vagina> at least we don't make him sit on the little chair
<Censored_Vagina> but I don't expect netanyahu to do anything the US wants, and it may be spiteful, but has made a mockery of the special relationship between the US and israel
<Censored_Vagina> so humiliating him personally is what we'll probably keep doing
<Naksu> Censored_Vagina: remember the mini-summit with obama, netanyahu and abbas last year?
<Naksu> that was awesome
<Naksu> a summit was agreed, israeli press and some american medias immediately begin calling obama "pro-palestinian", this continues until the summit, the summit is a huge waste of time and obama has to chide both sides otherwise he appears "pro-palestinian", abbas is not happy because he got roped into a glorified multi-day press photo-op when he actually had better things to do
<Naksu> netanyahu goes home happy
<garamir> Chiding both sides? How could Obama turn his back on the US's best friend in the Middle East?!
<Naksu> if he could have he probably would have blasted netanyahu with everything
<Naksu> in retrospect it seems like the only thing the "summit" accomplished was pull abbas away from palestine when he was busy with some palestinian political drama
<Naksu> then he gets to go back to his people and tell them he accomplished nothing
